On Wednesday, May 20th, Constructor will be hosting group activities that offer a unique and localized Panamanian experience. The activities being offered allow you to see the local landscape, learn about the culture, enjoy the beauty of Panama, and network for the afternoon with your colleagues. Activities will run from 1:00-5:00 PM.
Each activity will run rain or shine, so please be aware if there is weather in the area you may get wet during the tours. We highly recommend the following items on each of the activities so you are prepared:
- Bottle of Water
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Bug Spray
- Comfy Shoes
- Umbrella/Poncho
Gamboa Rainforest Experience
Experience the beauty of Panama’s rainforest with a scenic journey to Gamboa Rainforest Resort, where you can explore lush landscapes and rich wildlife at your own pace. Cruise through the Panama Canal’s hidden waterways to spot three monkey species up close — howlers, capuchins, and tamarins, and even catch sight of massive cargo ships passing through this world-famous engineering marvel on Gatun Lake. Then, glide gently above the treetops on a breathtaking aerial tram ride and see the rainforest like few ever do. From your gondola, spot colorful tropical birds in their natural habitat, hear the immersive sounds of the rainforest and witness breathtaking views. At the top station, enjoy a short hike to a 100 foot observation tower.
Prior to swapping from the Tram and Boat, you'll get up close with adorable sloths and discover the work led by the Pan-American Conservation Association that have rescued these amazing creatures. Please note you will not be able to hold the sloth, it is viewing only.
Please be aware that during this activity you will take in the scenery by boat and cable car so for those who do not like being on the water or a fear of heights, we would recommend you select one of the other activity options.
We will meet in the Westin's main lobby at 1:00 PM to board to the buses and head out to the Rainforest which is located about 45 minutes from the hotel.

Old Town Tour & Geisha Experience
Discover the charm and history of Old Town on a guided walking tour through this UNESCO World Heritage Site, where colonial architecture, vibrant plazas, and historic landmarks bring Panama’s past to life. Stroll through iconic squares like Plaza de la Independencia and Plaza Bolívar while soaking in the area’s rich culture and atmosphere.
Then, indulge in an exclusive Geisha coffee experience, where you’ll explore the origins, cultivation, and roasting of one of the world’s most renowned coffees, ending with a guided tasting that showcases its distinctive aromas and flavors.
The group will depart the hotel at 1:00 PM. Please meet in the lobby to board the buses.

Old Town Tour & Empanada Making Experience

It’s a fun and delicious way to connect with local culture and bring home an authentic taste of Panama.
